On August 15, the 2025 "Xinjiang is a Good Place" Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) support event officially commenced in the Hotan region of Xinjiang. This collaborative initiative is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism alongside the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Notable attendees included Rao Quan, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, Maimaiti Mingkade, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regional People's Congress, and several other dignitaries from various governmental and cultural institutions.

Focusing on the theme "Cultural Enrichment in Xinjiang, Intangible Heritage Adds Color," the main venue gathered an impressive assemblage of 435 representative ICH projects from within Xinjiang, the Corps, and 25 other provinces and municipalities. Additionally, the event celebrated the contributions of 383 ICH inheritors. Attendees can anticipate a vibrant experience featuring an ICH Exhibition, captivating ICH Dance Performances, and an ICH Market. This setting fosters interaction and collaboration among diverse ethnic groups.

For those looking for more hands-on experiences, sub-venues like the Hotan Regional Museum are offering a variety of activities. Visitors can engage in exhibitions, interactive experiences, and live ICH performances, ensuring that the cultural heritage is not only displayed but fully experienced.

Aligning with the spirit of the occasion, the ICH Summer Shopping Month was launched as part of the third quarter of the 2025 Seasonal ICH Shopping Month. This initiative bridges regions together and blends offline exhibitions with online live broadcasts, providing a platform to promote a curated selection of summer-themed ICH products, travel routes, and experiential activities. The aim is to showcase local cultural and tourism resources while invigorating cultural consumption and tourism.

The "Xinjiang is a Good Place" ICH support event has successfully run for five consecutive years, attracting a total of 1,450 ICH inheritors and showcasing 1,217 representative ICH projects. This event significantly contributes to the cultural enrichment of Xinjiang and promotes the awareness of the Chinese national community. This year's festivities will continue until August 19.
