Every midsummer, the expansive safflower fields in Yumin County, situated in Tacheng Prefecture of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, reach their peak blooming period. With a rich cultivation history extending over six decades, Yumin County has established itself as one of the leading safflower-producing regions in Xinjiang and across the nation.

The county benefits from natural advantages such as abundant sunshine, significant temperature variations between day and night, clean water sources, and fertile soil, all of which create optimal conditions for safflower cultivation. Currently, the total cultivated area for safflower has reached 200,000 mu, which is about 13,333 hectares.

In today's agricultural landscape, Yumin County is focused on strengthening its brand identity while also promoting the high-quality development of the entire safflower industry chain. This initiative aligns with broader efforts to drive rural revitalization and enhance the local economy.
